Frequently
Asked Questions
This page addresses common questions
people have regarding our security services.
Why should we hire Anitian?
Many reasons...
-
Anitian focuses exclusively on security. We do not sell phones, servers,
laptops, printers or storage area networks. We sell and support only
security and networking technologies.
-
Anitian
builds realistic, practical, and
unobtrusive solutions that consider a broad range of business, technical,
and financial issues.
-
Anitian's engineers are more than technology
experts. Our team has business management, finance, and risk management
skills as well. This ensures that our advice is based on a multidimensional
analysis of your business.
-
Anitian is an established and respected
consulting firm with over 250 satisfied customers. Our clients include
Fortune 500 businesses, federal, state, and local governments as well as
small businesses.
-
Anitian is dedicated to building long-term
relationships. We will work hard to earn and keep your business.
Do you employ hackers?
No. Anitian is not a hacker company. Our security experts are certified
professionals with strong information technology skills. Of course we understand
how hackers break into systems, but we do not hire or contract any
"reformed hackers."
Can I trust you?
All projects begin with both parties signing a comprehensive security
agreement. We can provide one or if you prefer to provide your own, we can sign
that as well. Your company secrets are kept on a completely secure server that
cannot be accessed from the Internet. Employees also sign a comprehensive
security agreement when hired. We also consider our reputation very seriously.
Call us and we can provide references who can vouch for our services.
How long has Anitian been in business?
Anitian was founded in 1995, by Andrew Plato. We have 350 active customers and
cover the entire United States.
Is hacking really that big of a deal?
Yes. There are people who honestly believe they are providing a
"service" to the Internet community by hacking computers at
companies. While many of these hackers
have good intentions, some are merely looking to cause trouble and gain
attention. Anitian considers all unauthorized intrusions bad and has ways to
stop them.
How much will it cost?
Depends on how secure you need to be. Security does not need to be expensive.
There are plenty of cost effective ways you can secure your network to stop most
intrusions. Anitian can help design a security solution that meets both your
technical and financial goals.
Do you provide managed security services?
Yes, see our managed security services page.
What about support?
Many of the products we sell will include comprehensive support contracts. You
can either call us or you are free to contact the manufacturer yourself -
whatever is easier. When we submit the project estimate, we will provide a
detailed break-down of your support options.
What if I get hacked?
We can provide post-intrusion analysis and forensics to determine what the
hacker did or attempted to do. We will then provide a detailed report of
the incident and suggest ways to defend against it.
What sort of assurance do I have that our systems are safe?
Anitian can conduct comprehensive tests to ensure the systems can withstand
attack. We will provide you details on the nature of these attacks and any
vulnerabilities that might still exist. We will also help you set up procedures
and policies when you need to respond to a potential intrusion.
How do I get started?
