Security Analyst – Portland, Oregon

This is a technical information security position. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with the management of security technologies. This position requires strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and manage network and security technologies.
- Work with customers to identify, remediate, and test solutions.
- Research and analyze security events and logs for possible intrusion or attack.
- Troubleshoot issues.
- Develop practices, processes, and procedures to respond to potential security incidents.
- Determine appropriate incident response measures for security events.
- Conduct security vulnerability scans and evaluate the results.
Requirements
- 5-7 years experience in network and security administration.
- Advanced knowledge and expertise with intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and design.
- Strong understanding of data center operations.
- Ability to present complex, technical information to executives in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desirable Qualifications
- A college degree, preferably in information systems or business.
- Experience with TippingPoint intrusion prevention system.
- Experience with Imperva WAF.
- Experience with Juniper and Cisco network equipment.
- Security certifications, such as a CISSP, GIAC or similar.
- Able to work effectively with a broad range of personalities and people as part of a security team.
- Business-friendly, collaborative and diplomatic.
